Hi there. My name is Jerod S. Rivera and I am a Designer living in Oakland, California. I grew up in Santa Ana, Tustin, and Fountain Valley, California in Orange County and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. My mentors while at Art Center included Brad Bartlett, Simon Johnston, Nik Hafermaas, and Ramon Munoz. My design practice focuses on Branding, Typogrpahy, Digital Design, Advertising and Editorial Design. I am a process-driven designer and believe iteration, research, and method are an integral part of timeless design solutions.
Today, my partner and I live in the beautiful Adams Point neighborhood of Oakland, and are both designers. We have two little pooches, Mama, and Fiona, and we enjoy taking them all over the wonderful nature trails of the bay area. I enjoy visiting museums and taking in a proper set from clubs like Underground SF and Bar Part Time. You can likely find me on a run or bike ride through Lake Merritt and catching a dig at Amoeba or Stranded Records or sitting in front of a Buchla 200e.
